Sarcoma Botryoides of Urinary Bladder

Abstract
|
|
|
Sarcoma botryoides of urinary bladder is very rare disease. With advent of Surgery & X-ray irradiation, this tumor is now curative by radical cystectomy, prostatectomy in male and urethral stripping. A case of Sarcoma botryoides of the urinary bladder in 3-year-old boy is reported.
Radical surgery including urinary divergence operation was carriod out and posto perative irradiation recommended.
The literature on this tumor is briefly reviewed and the tendency of the growth to remain localized for a relatively long time is stresed.
